Okay my friends...

You guys are a super creative bunch ~ help me!

I received permission for of our little elementary charter school to walk in our town's parade. It's in July, so I don't think we have time for anything really elaborate. We've got about a $50 budget... Any ideas about what we could do?

Not sure what the parade theme is but you could do bristol board flower masks something like these with leaf "bracelets" on their wrists

and have the kids wearing green to be the stems so you'd have a little walking garden.

Here are other pics on that site....very cute.

Very cool! This is a great idea! I think the kids would get a kick out of this.

BTW the theme of the parade is Red, White and Blue.

Hi Lisa,

Red, white and blue - Fourth of July...

Maybe you could make some paper hats and white yarn wigs and turn a red wagon into a float?

I like the garden idea and the red, white and blue theme. I have a currently have a dress on auction now that is a rw&b butterfly pattern. I think it would be darling to have a group of children dressed up as patriotic flowers & bugs!

Oh, Lisa! How fun! How many children will be participating? Asking because my first thought was if there were enough children, you could dress each one in either a blue shirt with a white star, a red shirt or a white shirt, and line them up in rows in the "correct" order so they represent the flag as they walk the parade route.

Hi Lynzee,

We have 124 kids in our school, but I don't know how many will want to be in the parade... I love your idea! Keep 'em coming, folks ~ it's nice to pick from such great ideas!
