Hi,

My name is Carol and I have been selling online with my husband for nearly 7 years. Recently I have decided to go out on my own. I am currently working on wall art for boys. This is where I could use some suggstions if you have any. I am working on dinosaur prints and I want to embelish them with glass glitter. Has anyone worked with this type of glitter before. Right now I can only find it online and there are some many colors and textures. If anyone has used this I would really love to hear from you. Reagaring the marketing of the wall art right now I am just making them for friends and family to see where it goes.

Thanks,
Carol

Carol: Good to meet you -- my only experience with glass glitter is from when I was a child -- if we were very good we were allowed to play with the "Good Glitter" since I was seldom very good, my experiences are slim.

Your dinosaur art intrigues me -- do you have a picture you could share. When my son was little he knew every last miserable thing there was to know about dinosaurs and was determined that I should learn too -- but there we are back to my having seldom been very good. I know that ichthyosaurus is some kind of dinosaur fish. Ta-dah!!

I will say this -- in terms of dinosaur "art" the closest ever I came was to make dinosaur meringues for the fourth grade bake sale. Those babies sold like hot cakes!!

Do you and your husband have a website? Or do you sell on eBay?

Good to meet you and please come back to tell us more about yourself, your business and your art.

Jenny

I am new to this too. I have been making cigar box purses, treasure chests, activity boxes, etc for about a year and have folks actually buying them now, instead of me giving them for gifts! Several museum gift shops and other shops have expressed an interest in stocking them. I am excited, but a little afraid. Do I need a business license? What are copyright laws, if I use materials like John Deere fabric, or Nascar items, hotwheels, pictures I buy at the dollar store, etc. If I take pictures of old houses or public buildings and use them, should I get written permission? How do I know who to go to for the least expensive, but the most for my money, website?

I have not finished navigating this website, but what I have had time to look at so far is wonderful! I would welcome the expertise of you seasoned "cottagers"!
