DH and I are repainting this summer and I'd like to see the front of those cottages you all are so proud of!!! Show off your hard (or not so much) work so we can all get motivated and find inspiration! :D

Good request! We haven't started our exterior cottage makeover yet (working from the inside out!) but here is our house currently. This is a tiny photo...I need to dig up a bigger one. The house is currently blue - like nearly all the other homes in my neighborhood. *sigh* But that will change in the future:) Originally I was thinking about a yellow, but now I'm thinking about a nice fresh green with red and white (or off-white) accent colors. We want to add shutters to porch windows, and maybe a sweet porch railing, too:)

I need to add some more english roses to the border as we lost a few. Also, the tree canopy you see in the upper portion of the photo is now gone. Tons of trees in my town were struck with Emerald Ash Borer and had to be removed. It was a huge beautiful tree. Made me so sad to lose it. :(

PS...I think your cottage would look beautiful painted a soft yellow. I just suggested it to PLB. I think it just looks so awesome on a board and batten house.
