Zuzu, I am so glad I finally managed to post a picture (the first couple of times I pushed the wrong submit button. Duh!

And I am glad you finally got to see it --- the picture, as they say, doesn't even begin to cover it. The pictures decoupaged on the lower doors were sooooooo much fun -- I used a regular $1.00 flea market print that I had blown up to ledger size at the print shop and glued it onto those doors, embedded beading around the edges and carefully cut fabric to fit the frame -- here's the equisite part -- the drawer pull is a ribbon rose affixed to a regular round wooden knob. Too too sweet.

The inside of the upper doors involve tiny ribbon roses -- like a personal little secret. The other secret is that I haven't yet done the inside of the lower doors... but when I get my hands on them...

And this cabinet is SO handy -- when the boyfriend pulls the face that says my latest suggestion is simply plum crazy, I just stand next to my cabinet and ask him if it is as crazy as the Enchanted Cabinet? That tends to be the end of that discussion. :D

Oh, you are right Jenny - I can't really see the little roses on the handles. I LOVE your personal little secret ideas. I do a similar thing with my fairy boxes - I tuck snippets of poetry or song lyrics into them. Another idea for drawers would be to decoupage notes from your sweetie or kid's art right inside the drawer.

Crazy as the Enchanted Cabinet. :D I love your creativity!

The close-up pic is great. You've been hit by the "collage bug" too, but in a much grander scale! Are the flowers on the pulls vintage? They are so pretty!

Zuzu, I made the ribbon roses. I've seen the vintage ones you are talking about, which are so beautiful, but they are really hard to find -- it would help if I paid attention more often.

I looked at this cabinet for months trying to decide what kind of door pulls it needed, finally it occured to me that those door pulls should be flowers.... and that I should figure out how to make them. :D And I did!!! Oh What Fun!
