Hello.

I've been here before when it was just starting and I'm finally getting around to joining. It's great to see how much it has grown!

I am just starting an online store called the Genuine Bloom Co. It has hardly anything on it right now, but I will be adding more soon. It will have mostly items that are inspiring, like the charms that are on it right now. But I will also probably have things that are cottage chic as well.

I am also currently working on making my bedroom less cluttered and more uplifting, cozy, and pleasant...and for me that is what the cottage style does for me. So I hope to be getting ideas here on that.

I've "met" at least one person here (greenoak) on other forums (although I have different username on those) and I look forward to meeting others here as well!

Thanks Ann.

I love things with words too.

And I also thing everyone should have a room of their own.

I've read your posts at Sellers Source (I think) and definately at Country Business...and you're so nice and helpful I think. :)
If you go to the Internet and You section at Country Business you'll see a post I made about my new online store a few days ago and that should tell you who I am I think. Although I don't post a lot at either place so I'm not well known.

I meant to post over there that I hope you'll be able to get your site online/working soon again. If I could think of a way I could help I would.

Welcome Sharyn,

What a great website you have created! Can't wait to see what else you will be offering. I just was "hit" by the collage bug last year, and many of the items I am making are moving more and more in that direction.

I also noticed that you too are linking to Cupid's Wing. I met Jennie via link exchange in 2004, and I love her style and the wonderful stories she shares on her site. Have you had the chance to meet her?

Well, again "Welcome" - I'm so glad you have joined us!

Hi Zuzu...I thought your name sounded familiar. :)

I have not met Jennie in person. I met her online when Victoria magazine was still around and had an online forum. When that shut down someone from their started another forum for people from Victoria's Business of Bliss forum to have a new place to hang out at. And that has now become www.blissguild.com and so I "see" her at the forums there sometimes.

I also sold her sweet signs she makes at a co-op store I once was a part of, and when that shut down I've moved the last few I had left over to a friend's shop...and I actually sold one today that says "I used to be Snow White but I drifted. ~Mae West"
I don't know if she's selling them wholesale anymore though.

Anyway, Jennie is super nice. And when you recieve stuff from her store it's like getting a gift...she packages things so nicely!

What was the link exchange 2004?

Ann, I never did catch why your daughter was in the hospital but I hope she's okay and well soon. She of course is way more important than your site.

And I hope your site will be okay soon too.

i used to be on coterie bliss then fell off when it changed or crashed i forget, about 2 years ago, and havent gotten back on..it must be the same site you posted... i love looking at the websites on there, many neat ones.....
.....im always looking for business chat rooms but havent found many...lots for newbies about computers, and investors, banks and google ratings etc etc...im more interested in displays, events, customer relations, sources and trends...i need a party planner, merchandiser, and furniture carrier all rolled into one employee...that would make my life easier!!! we try....

Hi again Sharyn,

I have no idea how it is that I never found the blissguide forum. I found Another Girl at Play, and a site a couple years ago with the dancing 'Bliss' girls, but not a forum. Thank you for sharing!

When I wrote "I met Jennie via link exchange in 2004", I meant literally that I had found her on the web and we wrote each other a couple times and exchanged links. So fun that you have 'met' her as well!

Yup, Bliss Guild = Coterie Bliss. The www.coteriebliss.com (http://www.coteriebliss.com) is still there. But the forum there is the same forum for www.blissguild.com (http://www.blissguild.com). The Bliss Guild site is fairly new, and like I said is sort of a redo of Coterie Bliss.

Ann, I've been wanting to start a site and forum that's sort of like the Switchboard's in that it would be geared towards women, but have it specifically for female shop owners (both online and brick and mortar shops). There are things kinda like this. Here at Cottage Living, Country Business, Switchboards, Make Mine Pink, etc. but not exactly. So far my favorite has been Switchboards, because I've learned sooo much about online stores there, but I don't exactly fit in there...I don't make most of my things, and only some of what I'll be carrying will be "indie"...unless I can find more indie stuff like what I want to carry. So anyway, a website/forum of female "shopkeepers" generous with their knowledge with each other, etc. is something I either want to find or create.

Okay, I'm probably babbling...sorry...I'm tired. To prove it, I went to Google and typed google into the searchbox instead of what I was looking for.

Ann, that quote you mentioned about "angels unawares" is a Bible verse -- Hebrews 13.2 "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained Angels unawares." (It's the only bible verse I know -- I went to a Catholic College and had a very elderly nun for an art teacher, so once, for extra credit, I flung a bible verse into an art project.)

And by the way, Hi Sharyn. Your conversation with Zuzu has yielded lots of magical new sites for me to peruse; much appreciated and glad to meet you. Hope to see you here often.

Back to Minding my Own Business,

Hey Jenny - That's a beautiful verse. Here's the link to Cupid's Wing (http://www.cupidswing.com/) if you all want to stop by and visit - I love Jennie's site, and she is the nicest person to chat with.

Hi Sharyn - I spent more time visiting your site today. You really have done a beautiful job on your website. :D

Thanks -- these have been really helpful -- when I get my site up and running I look forward to joining the Bliss Sister's Guild.

I've never been to the Country Business site. Maybe Ann or Sharyn can post it.
