What's your favourite spot in your house?

...you know, the one where you hide out with a good book, cup of coffee or laptop? Do you have a corner in a den, a favourite chair or sunroom you frequent?

For me, it's a pair of old vinyl club chairs from the 70's that I'll never part with. I'm going to have them refinished because I don't own a pair of socks that fit me better than those chairs.

In winter it is in my family room on my grandfather's rocking chair in front of the wood stove with a cup of tea. In summer it is on my screen porch on my bamboo couch (which I got for free) reading a book and taking a nap.

At our cottage at the beach, it's the sunroom. I love to curl up on the old wicker sofa with my coffee and watch the waves come in. Here at home, I have "my sanctuary". It is a spare room that has a daybed for curling up and reading, it has my desk, computer, etc., for "work", it has my sewing machine and most or my craft materials and, best of all, it has an electric fireplace, lots of candles and pretty things I love but my hubby could live without. It is truly my escape from the world!
