Oh here's the wedding scoop!

I got tears in my eyes reading about you and your son watching as the guests approached your home. And again as I'm writing about it. :rolleyes: You have a wonderful family.

The bride sure is a beautiful gal. Your home looked picture perfect in every way. I love the soaps that you made. You didn't miss a detail. What a beautiful day.

And oh my gosh, what a stunning granddaughter you have. Some good genes there!

Yay and it went off without a hitch no less! Beautiful pics and beautiful bride (the grandkids aren't so bad themselves:()). Have you gotten rested up yet or still coming down from wedding day jitters.

Me too I started to tear up when I read that. Gigi it was so pretty. I knew it would be. WOW the landscaping . The gazebo! Totally lovely friend totally:D:D:D are you pooped?

Gigi - I thought of you so many times and wondered how the wedding went...I can see it was a grand success, and I'm so happy. You can sigh a BIG sigh of relief that everything was wonderful, and as planned.

The peonies on the table looked lovely, but I have a story and a question. Talk of peonies always brought thoughts of the time my mother brought some in from the yard...and the tabletop was immediately crawling with ants! I read somewhere that that is normal for peonies, as they love the sweet nectar. But then HOW did you have peonies on the tables?

Hi Chapter Two---YES! ANTS! The peonies were picked the day before, and stored in a BIG bucket of water. Those little critters were all over, but luckily the next day they were gone. We took three peonies, and one peonie bud to each vase. I love these flowers~ and I was really lucky they were local... :D

Ahaaaa, Gigi...So that's the secret to antless peonies! :lol:
They're such big, yet delicate, flowers, and I'm sure they looked magnificent.

You must feel on top of the world, with all you've accomplished! Thank goodness it was a lovely weather day, because the event sounds like it was amazing!

Yes, I never really thought about it, BUT there were a TON of ants running around those just picked flowers....then they were gone. :eek: I will post some pics of the peonies-gosh they were so pretty (and I know their name!)---

I promised that if the weather was good, all the little dramas that may occur would be nothing---I've kept my promise. Life was good, I feel blessed...;)
