I am feeling a bit overhwhelmed with the whole website process....it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and at times my sister and I think about changing colors, fonts, and layouts as we look at other websites......we are driving ourselves crazy. So for now the way it looks now is how it will be because it just takes too much time to re-do everything.

Really, I am just not sure if the website is worth all the time and effort. It seems as though blogs are the way to go now. They are so simple to use and you can have lots of blogs on many different topics.

How do you like to search for information now? Blogs or organized websites?

Oh, so web design is similar to home design; I always want to start over when I see an inspiring idea.

I've never been real hip to blog searching vs web site searching. I can see how it would be beneficial to have both. In my uninformed opinion, a web site seems to have more substance.

Web design is exactly like home design....you think it looks great and then you see something even better, cuter, more creative and it makes you want to start all over again!

For both home design and web design....really any kind of design....I think "As the Designer" you spend so much time...thinking about it, designing it, picking out a multitude of color combinations...trying them out, re-working it or working with color combinations that are available and finally you just say to yourself....this looks great and I am sticking with it!! But.......when you look at anything so intensely for so many days..... your eyes get tired of it and you think everyone else will think the same thing. When in reality it probably looks like great to everyone else's eyes because they haven't been looking for so long or for soooo many days and dissecting every little thing!

So hey...I am sticking with it! (For a little while any ways :())

Lisa,
Thanks for your comments about searching....I think you are right. You gotta have both if can do it.

I gave up on the website because of the work involved and went back to just a blog. Besides, I do websites (along with other marketing) for a living and couldn't handling dealing with one more.

the fact that you and your sister do it together has to help. And you are so right, web owners tend to stress out over every detail. Your site is wonderful and just keep up the great work!!

As far as "shopping" for blogs or sites, I'm not picky - if it catches my eye then it gets bookmarked (like your site!);)
