business is pretty scary right now imho..will folks really buy a 20$ candle when theur gas is 4$ a gal? ..real money pressures on our communiuty anyway...but thats not real new here in indiana....
another real threat i see is all the big box stores replacing the little guys....and the customers who shop just for price are happpy with that..... i love independant stores....it can be much more fun....but they are fewer and fewer....

the good things i see is the idea of trash to treasure and recycling should be good for our store...we have lots of the parts...as well as the old furniture to start with...

and people are becoming more aware of all the chinese stuff and might be more open to american made...which we also have....

we are super busy right now getting all our spring stock ....hope to be ready and full when the weather breaks and people start getting out more....
whoever is in business out there....good luck!!!!

Ann,
You are so right about the real money issues it does seem kind of scary these days but I also have hope that we will push through this difficult time and new things will come from it!

I love the trash to treasure ideas! Your blog is so delightful and fun to read. Your cabinets and cupboards are so beautiful and fun as well as lots of your other fun goodies! I love the people you highlighted that also are doing the trash to treasure things.

I believe in the American way and I think as we all buckle down and support one another things will work out great!

I will link you to our blog and website as soon as I get it back up and running.

Take Care,
Karin

i love my blog....but dont quite know what the purpose is....everyday i think i should find some other thing to blab about...or take a picture of...i dont even sell on line....guess i figure part of the internet population is within a couple of hours of my store...and maybe they will make the drive....ann
