New "The Style Sisters" website DIY ideas

Hi everyone!
My sister and I decided to start our own blog and website dedicated to people living the REAL LIFE EVERYDAY! You know.... the do it yourselfer's! We have started by blogging about the things we have done in our homes by ourselves and that includes entertaining ideas, sewing, crafts, re-upholstering, kid stuff, cooking, Celebrations etc... Plus we want to highlight other creative people and what they have accomplished too! We love magazines like Cottage Living because it really helps to motivate us to go and do things.
This is a new journey for us and we are very excited. We would love to get some feedback from any of you and we will link to your website or blog as well. I love the cake plate idea! I think cake plates are so fun, which is kind of ironic, because I don't make cakes very often! I've seen them used for a variety of displays and for all kinds of food presentation. I'm going to look for a plate and a dessert dish the next time I'm at a second hand store!

Thank you for all your support and wonderful compliments on our site www.thestylesisters.net and our blog www.thestylesisters.blogspot.com Truly this is best community of people supporting one another. When I started on this community a few years ago I was re-doing my kitchen...some of you may remember it. I painted it black and white. Everyone was so great and so motivating for me. Once again all of you that have come to our website or blog or have commented here to this thread have been so great!! Thank you Thank You so much it really helps when you start a new business to have people behind you!! :D
