when you get a store you have to think about christmas in the spring when its time to order stock and put it all out right after halloween.......we have our big open house next weekend and its barely fall here yet...my zinnias are still going....but this week we will be rushing and getting all the santas and snowmen out and displayed......we kind of skip over thanksgiving....but we go with the flow.
..if there are any other stores out there...good luck....my best cottage display is all about birds....i have tons and some neat trees for them...and lots of birdhouses....

Ann, since retail money is the biggest in the 4th quarter, when do you advise starting a retail business?

i dont think it would do much good to start inthe 4th quarter....better to build up to it....give yourself a chance to build a customer base...and to get used to everything and have a better idea of qhat they might want to buy from you..........
our selling is pretty well distributed thru the year....because we are big into gardening and have lots of things for porch patio and garden.....its a bit safer to have a summer strategy if you can...
retail is pretty rough right now...but what isnt!!!
