Someone was asking about lilacs--can't find that posting now! I have a Dwarf Korean Lilac that I adore--it's a spherical bush--gets 4-5 feet in diameter and blooms heavily--and the scent is heavenly! I like it so well that I'm having another planted this spring. Would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to have the larger variety.;)

Hi dujoan! How long does the bush bloom? I didn't look to see what part of the country you are in--will it grow most anywhere?

Blooms for about a month I think--must be may into june--I live in Indiana--would think it would grow anywhere where lilacs grow!

In that case, it should bloom here in Arkansas. I've got a lot of landscaping to work on, so I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the recommendation! I'm also thinking of getting some more butterfly bushes. It blooms for several months and looks great.

Lilac don't make it here...darn it. I would love to have one. Too hot and humid.

Dujoan aren't you new here???? if so welcome!

I'm surprised they won't live down there since they do here. My mom has a lilac bush (no idea what kind) and it really hasn't done too much but it has lived. Maybe it is too warm for it to do good here, either. I'll havet o check my books. THe butterfly bushes do great--do they grow in LA?
