Hi,
I've registered my domain and have tons of website ideas for my web-based business however, I have no web-site design knowledge and a very small budget for getting a site up and running. Any ideas or help out there?

good question...waiting for tips to come in from others. Someone recommended to me to use a simple program like Front Page or something similar. Apparently, they aren't all that difficult to figure out.

Jen, Jen & Jelliebean,
There are websites that offer a "complete" package like network solutions. They offer several packages, & if you are a novice- a standard host package may be what you are looking for i.e. for as little as 11.95 a month you can put a website up, use one of there templates, and get your business running...but you should get a domain name with .com after it. If you are non-profit use .org. For example: I use www.underthewillowgifts.com (http://www.underthewillowgifts.com) instead of my company name under the willow...I added the gifts part because underthewillow was taken under another domain. There are some other companies, but for the beginner, network solutions offers great 24/7 help & is not very expensive. If your company needs more than one shopping cart, you will need a bigger package like an e-commerce package. If this all sounds confusing...just ask more questions ~ everyone is here to help! Take care...

I'm a web designer, but can't offer anything really inexpensive... I think you're best bet would be to go to www.PappaShop.com (http://www.pappashop.com/), (http://www.pappashop.com)www.MerchantMoms.c om (http://www.merchantmoms.com/), or (http://www.pappashop.com)www.WAHMshoppes.co m (http://www.WAHMshoppes.com). These are great places to start a small business. They offer hosting with shopping carts and design templates. They are VERY user friendly and you can do it all yourself for a small monthly. Good luck to you!

I have found Blue Voda to be the complete ultimate web builder and host service around. I have built web sites using their drag and drop tecnique and it simple and easy to use and only 9.99/mth. Hope this helps you out. Ken Here is a site I am currently working on for http://loghouseboats.com

Hi!
I'm using Microsoft Office Live basics. It's fairly easy to navigate and includes e-mail, site reports, etc. Most importantly, it's FREE!
www.officelive.com
There are also some nice user forums on the Office Live site, and people seem really friendly and eager to help each other build their web presence.
Good luck,
Andrea
