Hi,
We recently moved from the UK to the USA. As things go, one of the legs of my dining room chair broke and it seems quite a job finding a carpenter in Naperville, Illinois. I need some who can repair the chair and build me two new ones. If anyone know of someone, please let me know.
Regards

I live far from Illinois, but have you tried local cabinet shops? Last winter I worked at a high-end cabinet shop, and my colleagues were extremely skilled woodworkers. They could make and repair furniture, and sometimes would consider a freelance job. You didn't say what sort of chairs you have, or how much you can spend. Also, check the yellow pages in the phone book. Some people have furniture refinishing and restoration businesses.
Good luck.

Perhaps one of your local colleges hold classes for woodworking students. There are also trade schools, etc...that may be helpful. My youngest son is a student at Marc Adams woodworking school in IN. For years he has made the trip from Maryland to take some fine cabinet making classes. People are out there to do the job... I hope this was helpful. Good luck.
