Pinehaven Cottage

Hello ... I'm looking for some help.
My husband and I just bought a house in the middle of two parks. Our front yard is filled with pine trees. The backyard is open with a lake and lots of trees/woods. It's a perfect setting for deer.
Spring is right around the corner and I would like to plant some flowering plants ... but I understand the deer(s) just love to eat most flowering plants.
I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to my little problem? Is there some book that tells you want type of plants to plant and the deer(s) won't eat them.
Thanks in Advance.
