Get thyselves to Lowes

heads up ladies. Lowes is clearancing their roses, all and I mean all of them are a buck a piece. For a dollar a plant/pot how can one go wrong. Yes I picked up quite a few, eleven to be exact and I have my husband going back today for more.:eek:

May have to rename my house to Rose Gardens instead of bungled cottage/bungaloid. :D

Count yourself lucky, after the peat moss dust settled I had bought 24 rose plants. Two aren't going to be planted since they are rose trees (mini ones) and I'm not doing the trench thing every year. Spent the weekend dugging up new flower beds and planting. Transplanted on fire bush to the back to make room for a rose (and it wasn't looking too good up there anyhow). All told I got in a grand total of 9 plants planted. Going to be a long week. ;) I have to dig up another plant bed to put in one plant and probably make it possible for the lawn mower to get around. then on to the side where I have 5-6 Knock-out roses to plant. Will make a lovely border to be sure. The climbing rose will have to wait until we get the grape moved to the arbor and then I'll have to get on that one too. Would be nice ot get the garage painted before putting the plant in but if I leave it in the pot or just tied to the stake they have in there I should be ok for the painting of the garage next year. So much for my plans to paint my daughter on there. :(
