Communities in Dallas?

I'm looking at moving to the Dallas area. Does anyone know of any 'cottage communities' in the area?

Hi Susan,
There are several neighborhoods in Dallas that are filled with cottage charm. The "M Streets" area in central Dallas, just north of downtown, is a great place to start, as well as some older neighborhoods in the East Dallas area of Lakewood, including Hollywood Heights and Santa Monica.
South of Downtown Dallas is another great spot, in the Oak Cliff area, including Kessler Park and Winnetka Heights.
Check out the website www.preservationdallas.org, which is a fabulous organization in Dallas devoted to preserving old and historic homes, many of them small bungalows and cottages. It has many links to different neighborhoods in the city.
