Well, someone asked about what color is popular for furniture. I went to respond and got a phone call and now that I'm searching the threads I can't find that post but I want to respond. So here goes.
I have furniture pieces of all different colors but I like the black painted pieces the best. I do have this awesome piece that is kinda cream colored in my family room, its a dresser and its very fauxed but just from age. I know of a store here that paints everything the Shabby Chic white and they sell everything they get in. The most interesting piece of furniture I have was inherited from my Mom. Its a red table. She found it in an alley and brought it home and placed it in her dining room. I love and when she passed away it was the one thing we all fought over! Well, not really but my one sister who has more money than us all put together really wanted it but I did too. I won! Well, I am the big sister! Its in my living room and it holds all my most memorable pictures. My Wedding picture, those of my son's Weddings and their College Graduations. Its very special indeed! So I woud say paint it white and it will sell.
